I like Class 1 because he has a friendly tone to his voice and is very funny. He is also always traveling to new places and gives us facts about that place.

So far I feel that my learning journey with POP has been very smooth. I have learned a lot from the classes and homework. Writing is very important and learning to write a proper essay is essential to good writing. Since POP teaches topics that my school does not incorporate, I feel that I have learned far more vocabulary and grammar than I otherwise would have. I look forward to learning something new each week and I enjoy completing the assignments given by my teacher. I would like to learn harder vocabulary words and learn how to include them in my writing. My grammar also isn't that good so I would like to have more practice. Overall, I feel that I have learned a lot from POP classes and I look forward to learning more when the classes start in August.

If I could list everything, there would an infinite amount of the aspects of my POP courses that helped me, but the one that helped me the most was that there were reviews in the Sadlier Connect TM like "unit review 10-12", they are longer ones, but it helps me to most prepare for the test.

Another thing I would like to mention is that there was vocab games and extra practices for us to do so we don't forget what we learned last class.

At the end of POP class in June, I feel that I have learned many new tips and tricks in writing that have helped me in my progress through the stress and unfamiliarity of school projects and writing. During the school year in POP, I have learned so many new things, ranging from vocabulary, to writing techniques.

In learning writing styles, I believe that one of my favorite types of writing that I have been familiarized with in POP, was poetry. Although I was unsure about this type of writing at first, it has grown to be one that I find the most beautiful and perceptive. Based on my teacher’s introduction and practice in writing different poems, I have learned the uses of rhyme and rhythm and how poetry can be used to describe the beauty of just any everyday object. In learning more about poetry, I believe that the biggest progress I have made so far is to accept different types of writing and to try them out in different forms!

This year with POP has truly been an interesting discovery in my own strengths and weaknesses that my teachers and peers have helped with during the months together. The new knowledge and practice that I have gained through the fun weekly activities and Sadlier Connect assignments have helped strengthen my learning in school and exploration in literature as I hope to continue learn more with POP in the future!

I signed up POP words and writing class as I felt the urge to improve my English. As an ESL learner, I have spent large quantity of time learning English since I were young but I had never learned English as a native speaker, so I chose POP which was designed for students in U.S.

In the past year or two, my biggest improvement was writing. The structure, speed and vocabulary of my essays have all been better. Really appreciate our teacher who carefully review every essay and make constructive and specific comments. Also, my vocabulary grew, which helps me reading more efficiently. Last but not least, the class provided me a unique way to participate with school students and helped me understand them better.

Thank our teacher and POP for providing us such a learning opportunity. See you soon in classroom.

I feel like my writing skills improved greatly since I join pop. I learned how to write essays and what different words mean. I have also learned new meanings such as connotations, denotations, simple, compound, complex sentences, and much more. I feel great so far in my pop journey so far.

I think doing writing prompts (Words in Action) on Sadlier Connect helped me improve the most because doing them exercises formatting, spelling, grammar as well as vocabulary skills, and the comments left by my teacher help me know what I need to work on.

The writing prompts on Sadlier Connect exercised many important skills, like formatting, spelling, grammar, vocab words, and more. For example, the assignments have us use at least two details from the text and 3 vocabulary words, which not only helps me learn how to use vocabulary words but also helps me with reading comprehension, as I have to read the text to answer the question. So, that means that the writing prompts help me improve important writing skills.

Furthermore, my teacher leaves comments for our writing, which helps us understand our mistakes and fix them. For example, once I had a grammar error in my writing. Luckily, my teacher pointed it out in the comments, and now I won't make that mistake again.

Because of these two reasons, I think the writing assignments/Words in Action on Sadlier Connect are the most helpful for me to learn and grow as a student.

In this writing piece, I will be answering more than one question. I will be talking about what I’ve learned and some feedback for the lessons.

I have been taking POP classes for quite some time, and the good times have always been good times. I have learned a barrage of vocabulary words (ha- used one right there Ms. Laurel), found new ways to create new writing masterpieces, and found my way through some new grammar factors.

I have made a lot of progress in styling my writing as well. I can’t count how many texts I’ve written while taking the class. All I can say? A LOT. But it is all these stories that I have taken the time to type and edit that create my path to my future- future of writing skills.

Now, time for the feedback. I think that the classes are great, and everything is really fun and educational, but just a thought: more group projects. Although I love blooket and all the fun activities we do to pump up the spirit, I think more group projects for pretty much anything would do us all good and be something fun and educational as well! Just a word of feedback.

Another thing that would make classes shine would be adding some more class presentations that the class could work on together. At the same time as helping us all learn important strategies for different skills and encourage participation at the same time! I bet others would love it too!

In conclusion, I think the classes are really great and all, but adding more group projects and class projects would make it even more awesome!

Activities and class structures I like doing the most in POP are reviewing questions in Sadlier Connect, explaining writing homework, and doing class google slides. Revising questions that people missed or didn't understand can help students grow their brains. Showing learners what their homework means can highly promote their success to completing their assignment thoroughly. Another very important activity is doing class assignments. For example, the Class Idioms Google Slides. They boost the chance of making friends and can also show what other people think.

One activity I like doing in POP is revising questions. Reviewing questions that half the class missed can help students remember vocabulary words. Research shows that it takes approximately 7-10 times of reviewing a word before you permanently remember it. Therefore, that is why I think that activity is helpful.

One class structure I like in POP is when the teacher explains what the homework means. Sometimes, when I don't get what the assignment means, the teacher will explain it with lots of detail, which helps me understand. As you see, that is why I think that class structure is beneficial.

Doing class google sides is also one of my favorite class activities. Doing activities with other students lets people develop cooperating skills. You can also see what other people think, and even learn from them! Seeing what other people think can help you learn new strategies, knowledge, and more! Hence, that is why I think that activity is very good.

In conclusion, my favorite activities and class structures in POP are revising questions in Sadlier Connect, clarifying the meaning of the writing homework, and doing class activities. If you ever have time, you should definitely sign up for a class in POP.

My journey in POP education had been going pretty smooth. I learned a great quantity of knowledge from this curriculum such as vocabulary words, writing, Greek and latin stems and other literacy knowledge that are not commonly taught in school such as connotation and denotation. Ms. Laurel also makes learning fun with short free writes, funny mad-libs, vocabulary review bingo, and of course, the Blooket. I feel pretty comfortable about my learning in this curriculum.

My favorite POP education is Ms. Laurel. Not for only the reason that she's the only teacher I met and know, but also for the reasons as I said before, where she makes classes enjoyable and engaging with these fun educating activities. She also reviews commonly missed problems on homework to ensure that those that don't review their work often will at least get some review. Another thing that make Ms. Laurel a good teacher is that she makes sure that everybody gets a turn to share their answers or thoughts. Such as if Person A raises his/her hands a lot, and shares his/her answers, and Person B is just silent, Ms. Laurel would call on Person B, so that he/she could get a chance to share his/her thoughts.

I will say that my favorite activity is the Blooket. Blooket is an a website where kids could answer questions to play a certain game and try to get 1st place. The game serves as a motivator to answer questions and get them correct. It makes reviewing things like vocabulary words engaging, and helps make new things that we learn "stick". For even more motivation, if one makes an account on Blooket, by winning games they can earn a game currency to buy boxes and earn Blooks. The fourth question could go along with this one, because it is also the Blooket. Despite the game said to be a distraction, the "funness" of the game helps things even as hard to remember like "who and whom" or "may and can" stick.

So yay, I'm done. I guess.

I find reviewing problems that many people answered incorrectly, or were confused about, in the previous lesson's homework, as the most helpful activity. In Sadlier Connect, you are unable to see the correct answer to questions until after a few days, so many kids don't know what mistake they might have made on a certain problem. When we review the questions, not only does the teacher tell us the correct answer, but she also lets different kids explain why or why not an answer is correct. This deepens the understanding of certain literature topics for students. The next time a similar structured question is asked, they would know how to approach it. Reviewing questions also prevents topics that the class already has mastered, from being taught again, since teachers can see which types of problems students struggle with, depending on which kinds of questions many students were unable to answer correctly. When we discuss questions, not only are students shown the correct answers to different problems and the reasoning behind it, but mastered topics are prevented from being taught again. In conclusion, assessing problems that many students were confused about, or had trouble with, in the homework, is the most beneficial part of the lesson for me.

Have you ever tried to imagine a perfect teacher? They might not even exist, but I would imagine that they are patient and understanding, and treat their students with the utmost respect. Not only asking for their student's feedback, they would act on it, and do more of what their pupils are interested in. In our example, there could be more of Blooket, or student spotlights, or more; it doesn't matter as long as the teacher and students communicate.

When I came to POP Education, I didn't expect this perfect teacher, or anyone even remotely close to it, but within three lessons, Mr. Russ had quickly surpassed any teacher I'd ever had, including any teacher at school. He was tolerant even when many students blatantly ignored the rule requiring cameras to be on at all times, or students didn't respond when called on. I clearly remember an instance when a student accidently unmuted, we could even hear a YouTube video playing in the background. Even then, Mr. Russ was not phased, and worked tirelessly to still bring the best experience to all the other students. However, he still didn't give up on the students who weren't paying attention, and tried to include them as often as he could. All in all, Mr. Russ is my favorite POP teacher, because even if he might not know it, he is the most empathetic, considerate teacher I've ever had, and I'm looking forward to being in his class again in the fall.

I feel happy when I have a pop class. Mr. Russ is funny and knowledgeable.

My favorite teacher is Mr. Russ because he is nice.I like doing games with him because it is fun and exciting.

It improves your skills of English. We learned about synonyms, antonyms and hypothesis. We also learned about compound words like teacup or rainbow.

I like the pop class. It is fun having Mr. Russ in the online class.
